“Hold Your Head Up” - Argent
Definitely didn’t reach the same success as The Zombies but Rod Argent’s solo endeavor was still was decent. I’ve always loved this song and I feel there is a similarity between the singing style/voice of Russ Ballard and Sting. The way they’re both wistful and deliver high notes so seamlessly and so effortlessly are what draws me to their music. It’s an uplifting song with “never give up” kind of lyrics. Definitely a fave.
PS - The Midnight Special was the shit. Why couldn’t I have lived through the seventies??

..but my boyfriend’s Dad is a bit of an asshole to me. Always making snide remarks, always putting me down in a passive aggressive kind of way… I’m not one to start drama, but I don’t take that shit from anyone. I’m not sure how to approach this kindly.

GPOYW: Raised over $2100 for hockey fights cancer last night at the NHL tweetup. I won Islander tickets in a raffle. I can go to any game this season except for the Rangers!
